POSITION DESCRIPTION

The Database Admin Officer is responsible for the management and support of the bank's applications, databases, and systems. This includes working with the Application, Database, and System Senior Officer to develop and implement new applications, databases, and systems, supporting the bank's application, database, and system users, and ensuring that the bank's applications, databases, and systems are secure and reliable.

DUTY & RESPONSIBILITY

  • Monitor the Oracle database in all production and non-production databases.
  • Monitor the alert log and data synchronization.
  • Perform database backups daily.
  • Troubleshooting Oracle-related issues.
  • Perform testing, training, and document Oracle-related tasks.
  • Perform the day-to-day activities of a team of DBA's.
  • Perform other related tasks as required by management.
  • Undertake any other duties that may reasonably be required.
  • Contribute to the achievement of the bank's objectives and goals.
  • Work with the Application, Database, and System Senior Officers to develop and implement new applications, databases, and systems.
  • Support the bank's application, database, and system users by troubleshooting problems, answering questions and providing training.
  • Ensure that the bank's applications, databases, and systems are secure and reliable by implementing and maintaining security measures and monitoring performance.
  • Monitor and analyze application, database, and system usage data to identify trends and opportunities for improvement.
  • Collaborate with other IT departments to integrate applications, databases, and systems with other systems.
  • Manage the bank's application, database, and system documentation.
  • Contribute to the achievement of the bank's objectives and goals.
  • Assigns each team member a specific task and timeline to complete.
  • Must undertake other work as assigned and complete it with an accurate report within the deadline.

  • Must strictly adhere to the bank's code of conduct, guidelines, and human resources policies and procedures to ensure the professionalism of the bank, take immediate action to stop and report to superiors, senior management, and internal control of any violations or misconducts.

QUALIFICATION

  • Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or related fields.
  • Fresh graduate or one-year experience with Oracle Database.
  • Good understanding of Oracle database architecture.
  • Be able to administer MySQL Cluster, Oracle, and Linux/Sun Solaris OSs.
  • Be able to configure replication for MySQL, SQL Server, and PostgreSQL.
  • Be able to write programming and scripting languages such as C, C++, Java, C#, VB.NET, and Visual Studio.2017, Crystal Report, ASP.net, PHP, Node.js (optional).
  • Good English proficiency in both speaking and writing.
  • Anticipate and handle critical situations.
  • Ability to thrive in change. Fast, flexible, cooperative work style.
  • Be able to work overtime or at night.
  • Be able to support the queue system.
  • Be able to support the AML system.
