POSITION DESCRIPTION

To lead and drive the growth, profitability, and portfolio quality of the Vehicle Financing Business by executing effective sales strategies, strengthening dealer partnerships, ensuring sound credit governance, and building a high-performing team culture.


DUTY & RESPONSIBILITY

  • Develop and execute vehicle financing sales strategy to achieve portfolio growth, revenue, and market share targets.
  • Drive car loan, insurance, and cross-selling performance through proactive pipeline management.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with car dealers, corporate partners, and key stakeholders.
  • Monitor market trends and competitor activities to identify growth opportunities.
  • Ensure sound credit assessment, documentation control, and compliance with internal policies.
  • Monitor portfolio quality, delinquency, and recovery performance.
  • Oversee loan disbursement, restructuring, and collection strategies to maintain healthy asset quality.
  • Lead, coach, and develop the Vehicle Financing team to achieve sales and service excellence.
  • Set clear KPIs, conduct performance reviews, and drive productivity improvement.
  • Build a strong sales culture with accountability and customer-centric mindset.
  • Ensure efficient end-to-end of loan process from customer sourcing to loan disbursement and after-sales follow-up.
  • Collaborate with VEF Credit, Business Support, NPL resolution, Legal, Operations, and other departments to enhance turnaround time and service quality, and the resolution of delinquent accounts.
  • Ensure compliance with regulatory and internal audit requirements.
  • Others special projects/tasks assigned by line manager.

QUALIFICATION

  • Master/Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Banking, Business Administration, or related field.
  • Minimum 5–10 years of experience in banking or financial services, with at least 3–5 years in a leadership role within vehicle financing (auto loan), Consumer/SME/Retail lending or credit.
  • Proven track record in driving loan portfolio growth, revenue generation, and dealer network expansion.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead, coach, and manage high-performing sales teams with strong KPI discipline.
  • Solid understanding of credit assessment, portfolio quality management, NPL control, and regulatory compliance.
  • Good understanding of the local automotive market, dealer ecosystem, and competitive landscape.
  • Strong relationship-building skills with dealers, internal stakeholders, and senior management.
  • Ability to interpret performance data, identify trends, and translate insights into action plans.
  • Strong presentation, negotiation, and influencing skills.
  • Results-driven, customer-focused, high integrity, and able to work under pressure in a target-driven environment.
