POSITION DESCRIPTION
Supervisor, IT Application & DevOps is responsible for leading the design, development, and implementation of scalable, secure, and compliant technology solutions within the banking and financial services environment. This role bridges software development, infrastructure management, and enterprise architecture, ensuring that all solutions align with business goals, regulatory requirements, and industry best practices.
He/She will oversee a team of DevOps engineers and collaborate with development team, IT
Security team, and IT Project management team to ensure seamless delivery of technology solutions that support digital banking initiatives and operational efficiency.
DUTY & RESPONSIBILITY
DevOps & Infrastructure Management
- Lead the adoption and implementation of CI/CD pipelines, infrastructure as code (IaC), and automated deployment frameworks.
- Manage infrastructure performance, security, and reliability across environments (SIT, UAT, and Production).
- Implement containerization and orchestration tools (Docker, Kubernetes).
- Oversee source code management, build systems, and environment provisioning.
- Ensure high availability, disaster recovery, and business continuity across all critical banking systems.
Solution Architecture
- Develop and maintain DevOps Architecture documentation, technical roadmaps, and integration blueprints.
- Evaluate and recommend cloud, on-premises, or hybrid architecture solutions (AWS, Azure, GCP, or private cloud).
- Ensure architecture aligns with regulatory standards such as PCI-DSS, ISO 27001, and local banking compliance frameworks.
- Collaborate with business stakeholders to translate requirements into scalable, secure, and cost-efficient technology designs.
Team Leadership & Collaboration
- Supervise and mentor DevOps engineers
- Coordinate, collaborate, and continuously improve across development, operations, and other teams to align with organizational goals, infrastructure, and deployment strategies.
- Assist in conducting performance reviews, set technical goals, and identify skill development opportunities for team members.
Governance, Compliance, & Security
- Enforce security standards and compliance policies across all DevOps and architectural workflows.
- Ensure proper implementation of identity and access management (IAM), encryption, and data protection mechanisms.
- Support audits, penetration testing, and risk assessments in collaboration with the IT Security team.
QUALIFICATION
- Bachelor's in Computer Science, Information Technology, Software Engineering, or a related field.
- Relevant certifications preferred: AWS/Azure Certified Solutions Architect, Docker/Kubernetes Certification, DevOps Foundation/Professional
- 2—3 years of experience in IT infrastructure, DevOps, and solution architecture roles, with at least 1 year in a supervisory or leadership capacity.
- Hands-on experience with CI/CD tools (e.g., Jenkins, GitLab Cl, Azure DevOps), lac (Terraform, Ansible), and cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP)
- Knowledge of monitoring/logging tools (e.g., ELK stack, Prometheus, Grafana, etc.)
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
- Understanding of DevSecOps, microservices architecture, API management, event-driven systems and Cloud Computing with AWS
