Canadia Bank and VANDA University Strengthen Partnership to Advance Education and Financial Access

Phnom Penh, Cambodia – Canadia Bank, one of Cambodia’s largest commercial banks and the country’s largest locally owned bank, has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with VANDA University to further strengthen their existing partnership and enhance mutual benefits. The MoU expands educational opportunities, supports human capital development, strengthens financial literacy, and provides tailored banking solutions for the University’s management, faculty, employees, and students.

Since its establishment in 1997, VANDA University has played an important role in nurturing talent and developing skilled professionals across a wide range of disciplines, including business, accounting, digital technology, engineering, and social sciences.

Canadia Bank and VANDA University have maintained a strong partnership for many years. The Bank supports the University’s operations through deposit accounts, Payroll Services, and payment solutions, including POS solutions and KHQR. Students can conveniently pay tuition fees via POS machines, the Canadia Bank App, or KHQR, helping reduce waiting times and long queues. Payments through the App or KHQR also allow students to earn CanaPoints that can be redeemed for rewards.

Under the expanded partnership, eligible members of VANDA University’s management and employees will have access to a range of financial benefits offered by Canadia Bank and complimentary services from Canadia Integrated Group.

VANDA University students are also encouraged to apply for the Young Professional Banker (YPB) Program, which provides pathways to practical internships and potential career opportunities at Canadia Bank. Through hands-on training, students can gain industry insights, workplace experience, and essential professional skills to support their future careers in the banking sector.

VANDA University will also provide preferential tuition fees to eligible Canadia Bank employees pursuing undergraduate and postgraduate qualifications, supporting their continuous professional development and career advancement.

Ms. Chheang Sophea, Head of Consumer Banking Division, representing Canadia Bank, shared:

“Since 2020, our partnership with VANDA University has created new opportunities to provide quality banking services, special offers, and greater convenience to its faculty, employees, and students.
