POSITION DESCRIPTION
The Officer of SME Business Research & Development is to support the Manager of Business Research and Development in providing market insight, exploring new business opportunities, and operational support to expand the SME market and portfolio. He/she focuses on conducting market research, analyzing customer needs, and coordinating and supporting all relevant projects under the SME Banking Division in alignment with the digitalization journey.
DUTY & RESPONSIBILITY
- Support or conduct ongoing research into SME industry sectors to identify emerging trends, pain points, and growth opportunities (Market Research & Data Analysis).
- Support to drive new business initiative products to support SME (address SME pain points)
- Assist in drafting product proposals, user acceptance testing (UAT) for new digital platforms/lending tools, and creating internal training materials for front-line teams (Product and Digital Platform Launch Support)
- Work with partners or SME communities to enhance business engagement, promote branding and imaging, and leverage the partnership.
- Regularly collected and analyze competitors' SME loan terms and conditions, and pricing structures to ensure the bank's offerings remain competitive (Competitor Benchmarking)
- Track and report on key SME performance, loan performance, sale pipeline monitoring and productivities
- Perform other duties as assigned by supervisor/management.
QUALIFICATION
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Banking & Finance, Economics, or related field.
- Minimum 2-3 years of experiences in business research, commercial or MDI banking, or product/business development support.
- Experience in digital business development is an advantage.
- Good in English, with both speaking and writing skills.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret financial and portfolio data for decision-making.
- Proficiency in data analysis tools (Advanced Excel, Power BI).
- Ability to engage effectively with diverse stakeholders, cross-functional teams, and the SME community.
