POSITION DESCRIPTION
The Trade Sales Officer is responsible for driving the growth of the bank's trade finance portfolio by identifying new business opportunities and managing relationships with business clients. This role focuses on the end-to-end sales process—from lead generation and product advisory (including trade limits, trade loans, and trade services) to closing deals and ensuring high levels of customer satisfaction.
DUTY & RESPONSIBILITY
- Actively on-call for reports and new sales pipelines for potential trade customers in an effective manner.
- Handle transactions of Trade Products, including Bank Guarantees (BG), Letters of Credit (L/Cs), and other trade-related transactions.
- Meet with internal and external trade customers to close deals.
- Follow up with new potential customers to expand the Trade Business Department's client base.
- Build and maintain customer relationships to increase trade volume and transaction frequency.
- Provide high-quality service to ensure trade customer satisfaction.
- Cooperate with teams, branches, and other departments to facilitate cross-selling and trade referrals.
- Provide technical advice to clients regarding trade finance solutions.
- Back up trade sales or operations within the department when requested.
- Prepare and follow up on sales reports and branch productivity, and then present sales activity trends on a weekly, monthly, and yearly basis.
- Regularly improve knowledge of ICC rules, trade regulations, and compliance requirements.
- Assist the Head of Trade Business with other tasks as required.
QUALIFICATION
- Bachelor's degree in a major of marketing, business administration, or equivalent in a related field.
- At least 1 year of working experience in trade sales or operation.
- Proven team player with excellent communication and organizational skills.
- Very good knowledge of speaking and writing English, Khmer, and Chinese is an advantage.
- Proven track record in a sales environment.
- Proven customer service skills and target oriented.
- Proactive, friendly (humble), open-minded, smart-working, and active people with self-discipline.
