POSITION DESCRIPTION

The position is responsible for credit review on loan applications from business units before extending to higher levels for decisions. The incumbent shall assist the credit manager in monitoring credit performance, including credit quality and control.

DUTY & RESPONSIBILITY

  • Assessing loan applications within the defined guidelines and policies of each product and accordingly recommending approval to higher authorities within the targeted turnaround time. The assessment may be of the certain product, loan size, or even the region upon the management of the supervisor.
  • Providing professional feedback or response to the branches or proposer for any further request or inquiry about individual loan applications within a reasonable timeline and with best effort.
  • Directly communicating with the proposer, particularly the relationship officer and relationship manager, for the purpose of collecting further data or information for credit appraisal and credit recommendation to ensure the requirements are fulfilled.
  • Maintain adequate consistency assessment quality as well as productivity of own supervision cases within the target turnaround.
  • Quickly report to a higher supervisor in the event of finding potential fraud, suspicious activity, or a hint of fraudulent collaboration in any proposed cases.
  • Conducting on-site visits for necessary cases, including suspicious cases, and accordingly providing independent observation reports to the senior credit analyst and head of consumer credit for management decisions.
  • Checking all loan agreements submitted by the business team in accordance with the approval terms and conditions of each application (if being assigned only). Perform other duties assigned by management.

QUALIFICATION

  • A bachelor's degree in banking and finance, economics, or business administration is required.
  • At least 1 year of working experience as a credit analyst officer/loan officer or in relevant fields.
  • Good speaking and writing in English.
  • Good in computer MS Word and Excel.
  • Highly motivated, committed, and good communication.
  • Willing to work under pressure and overtime.
