POSITION DESCRIPTION

The primary role of the legal manager is to deal with aspects related to in-house NPL resolution.

DUTY & RESPONSIBILITY

  • Draft or prepare a complaint filing to court.
  • Handle cases related to debt and non-performing loans (NPLs) that involve filing complaints (suing) in court.
  • Be able to control and oversee NPL to take legal action following the civil code procedure.
  • Issue an invitation/demand letter to the debtors to repay the overdue loan and follow up with the branch.
  • Home visit of customer NPL and negotiate to solve out of jurisdiction and update loan NPL status before NPL Legal Team requests to file a complaint to court.
  • Execute internal litigation and compulsory execution processes effectively.
  • Provide legal advice on the NPL case to the line manager or management properly.
  • Support the branch/related department to find out the legal resolution on the NPL case.
  • Preparing daily, weekly, and monthly reports of NPL legal advice or NPL filing suits for the co-head of NPL legal resolution.
  • Other duties assigned by the co-head of legal resolution or top management.

QUALIFICATION

  • Bachelor's degree in law.
  • Be a lawyer and a member of the Bar Association of the Kingdom of Cambodia.
  • Have at least 2 years of experience in the banking field or a law firm.
  • Can speak English.
  • High commitment and smart working.
  • Computer literacy in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, etc.).
